The House of La Muralla is located in Segura de la Sierra, a fortified medieval village with a rich artistic and natural patrimonial heritage. Settled on the slopes of a mountain crowned by a castle at an altitude of 1200 ms, the village is surronded by an unspoiled sierra, The Sierra de Segura in the Nature Park of Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas in Jaén, Andalucía. The house, like the rest of medieval houses in the street, was built attached to the old Arab wall that surrounded the village. It is in this old quarter where the urban and architectural structure has been preserved in harmony with its natural surroundings. The houses share historic and patrimonial character with interesting monuments such as the Imperial Fountain, the Church of the Jesuites, the Arab Baths and the Door of Catena.
The House of La Muralla is enclosed in an Arab tower, around a patio. It’s restoration aimed at the preservation of its particular architectural and historic character. The use of traditional building materials, minimal intervention, simplicity of furniture, fitting and decor intend to offer an evocative experience to the discerning tourist appreciative of an architecture coherent with the territory and its secular rigurosity.
Windows and terraces offer amazing views of the sierras and the extense valley of olive groves below dotted with small villages.
The House of La Muralla offers 2 independent units to rent. - The STUDIO, converted from the old barn of the house, capacity for 2 people. - The DUPLEX , an ancient cave, capacity for 4 people. |
